After reading many newsfeed articles that drain us; these Psalms can counteract fear, stress, and fill us up. They provide profound perspective and real hope! It helps to read each three times, to let God&#8217;s heart sink in to yours.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-psalms-for-fear-and-stress\">Psalms for Fear and Stress<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.3.5-6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 3:5-6<\/strong><\/a> \u201cI lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.6.2-4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 6:2-4<\/strong><\/a> \u201cHave mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint; heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony. My soul is in deep anguish. How long, Lord, how long? Turn, Lord, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.9.18\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 9:18<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp; \u201cBut God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.10.14\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 10:14<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp; \u201cBut you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted;you consider their grief and take it in hand. The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.11.3-4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 11:3-4a<\/strong><\/a> &#8220;&#8216;When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?&#8217; The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord is on his heavenly throne.&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.16.1-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ps 16:1-2<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.16.5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">5<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.16.8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">8<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp; &#8220;Keep me safe,&nbsp;my God,&nbsp;<span class=\"gmail-m-7355568963635183456gmail-text\">for in you I take refuge.&nbsp;I say to the&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"gmail-m-7355568963635183456gmail-small-caps\">Lord<\/span><span class=\"gmail-m-7355568963635183456gmail-text\">, &#8216;You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.'&#8221;&nbsp;<\/span>\u201cLord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure.\u201d \u201cI keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.22.1-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 22:1-2<\/strong><\/a> (Think of Jesus saying this on the Cross) \u201cMy God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from my cries of anguish? My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, but I find no rest.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Ps 23<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/59\/PSA.23.ESV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the whole psalm<\/a>)<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.25.1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 25:1<\/strong><\/a> \u201cIn you, Lord my God, I put my trust.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.27.1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 27:1<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp; \u201cThe Lord is my light and my salvation\u2014whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life\u2014of whom shall I be afraid?\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.29.11\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 29:11<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp; \u201cThe Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.24.4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 34:4<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp; \u201cI sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.35.1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 35:1<\/strong><\/a> \u201cContend, Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.46.1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 46:1<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp; \u201cGod is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.46.10\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 46:10<\/strong><\/a> &#8220;He says, &#8216;Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.&#8217;\u201d<br><\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.55.16\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ps 55:16<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.55.22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">22<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp; \u201cAs for me, I call to God, and the Lord saves me.\u201d \u201cCast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.56.3-4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 56:3-4<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp; \u201cWhen I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise\u2014in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.63.8-9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 63:8-9<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp; \u201cI cling to you; your right hand upholds me. Those who want to kill me will be destroyed; they will go down to the depths of the earth.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.68.5-6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ps 68:5-6<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.68.19-20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">19-20<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp; \u201cA father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.\u201d \u201cPraise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign Lord comes escape from death.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.80.3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 80:3<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp; \u201cRestore us, O God; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.91.1-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 91:1-3<\/strong><\/a> &#8220;Whoever dwells in the shelter&nbsp;of the Most High&nbsp;will rest in the shadow&nbsp;of the Almighty.&nbsp;I will say of the&nbsp;<span class=\"gmail-m-7355568963635183456gmail-small-caps\">Lord<\/span>, &#8216;He is my refuge&nbsp;and my fortress,&nbsp;my God, in whom I trust.&#8217;&nbsp;Surely he will save you&nbsp;from the fowler\u2019s snare&nbsp;and from the deadly pestilence.&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.94.18-19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ps 94:18-19<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.94.22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">22<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp; \u201cWhen I said, &#8216;My foot is slipping,&#8217; your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.\u201d \u201cBut the Lord has become my fortress, and my God the rock in whom I take refuge.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.108.12\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 108:12<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp; \u201cGive us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.112.7-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 112:7-8<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp; \u201cThey will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.118.5-6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 118:5-6<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp; \u201cWhen hard pressed, I cried to the Lord; he brought me into a spacious place. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.119.50\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ps 119:50<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.119.67\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">67<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.119.71\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">71<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp; \u201cMy comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.138.3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ps 138:3<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong> \u201cWhen I called, you answered me; you greatly emboldened me.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/psa.142.5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ps 142:5<\/strong><\/a> \u201cI cry to you, Lord; I say, \u2018You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-other-verses-for-fear-and-stress\">Other Verses for Fear and Stress<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, remember that there is a \u201creadiness that comes from the gospel of peace\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/59\/EPH.6.15.ESV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eph 6:15<\/a>).
