This Bible study includes four truths to guide you toward becoming like Jesus in your day-to-day life. Reflect on these truths from Scripture as you answer the questions below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Our lives find meaning and purpose as we understand that God wants to conform us to Christ.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThen he said to them all: \u201cWhoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me\u201d Luke 9:23 (NIV)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIn him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory\u201d Ephesians 1:11-12 (NIV)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What are specific ways you believe God intends to accomplish this purpose in your daily life?<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. When we know God\u2019s ultimate plan and His power to accomplish His purpose, we can accept and respond to the things that happen in our lives instead of spending our days resisting and reacting.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSince, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God\u201d Colossians 3:1 (NIV)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cFinally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble\u201d 1 Peter 3:8 (NIV)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What do you learn from these Scriptures about how we should respond to God\u2019s plan?<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3.
